Last night I bought a 1967 Volvo 122S (Amazon) station wagon. It’s a wagon, and manual, though neither brown nor diesel. It has more rust than I would like, but I guess I will have plenty to do. Mechanically it isn’t bad, though there are a few things to take care of. It’s the oldest car I’ve ever owned by 22 years, and the first European car I’ve owned. Should be fun.

Kudos to you, that’s a sweet Swede sled!
...Is that an RX-8 in the back?
That would make for an interesting engine swap...

When I see an Amazon wagon I always imagine it with a metal hand-crank sunroof. I don't know why that makes me happy.

I’ve driven something like this, but the oldest Volvo I’ve owned was a ‘72. You are my hero. Restore that fucker.

That’s the car that got me interested in Amazon wagons, but it isn’t what I want to do. I already have performance cars, this one will be a cruiser.

Yeah, 2011 RX-8, my DD. I am now imagining it with a 95hp iron block 4. hmm, would be a very different animal. Amazon with a Renesis? could be cool, but I think the screaming wankel just doesn’t have the right character for the car.

Not yet. Been too busy. Need to get an exhaust on it before I can really drive it. Currently it just has an open header, and is obscenely loud. I don’t want to piss off my neighbors.

Yeah, it was completely random stumbling across it. Coworker just had his V70 die, and we were talking about possibly getting a parts car for him to cheaply get his car back on the road when I found this one posted in my town. Had to check it out.

Depends on what you want to do with it...
For a nice cruiser and roadtrip car, something more...diesely might be appropriate.
But if you want the baddest track car money can buy, a rotary-powered Amazon just sounds perfect.

Fantastic! Love the color. If you need bits for it, a couple of buddies have 122s and always seem to know where all the good stuff is.

Can't decide which is more want, this or P1800. Either way, great find!

As it should. I’m working on sort of combining both of your cars with my t5 V50 and it’s blue too. That’s the best color I’ve seen on an Amazon and I wish I had it instead of the Barents metallic.
As much as I like the street rod versions of these, I’d rather see the originals preserved. I say fix the rust, maybe a clearcoat & step back.
